Don't put off tomorrow what can be done today
"If you accomplish something good with hard work, the labor passes quickly, but the good endures; if you do something shameful in pursuit of pleasure, the pleasure passes quickly, but the shame endures."
-Musonius Rufus
Modern day life makes it all to easy get dopamine hits from everywhere, fast food, endless media services, online shopping, video games and so on.
Once the the activity is done, it can leave you feeling a little hollow. Should I have spent all those hours or dollars doing that? A sense of regret and time or money wasted may follow.
But by just applying a little bit of discipline a day towards our goals or those backlog of tasks you try to avoid, you do something more meaningful and with each small piece you slowly builds a stronger sense of self and direction. Make your goals a little bigger and work on them every day and who knows, maybe you won't need to have regrets at all.
